My name is Katya and I have been doing childcare since high school in Ukraine. I started as a camp volunteer where I created many educational and recreational programs for 2nd graders. Once I moved to Canada, I pursued an undergrad in Art History and Film Studies program, which I graduated with Honours. Lots of the university courses were about early childhood education and creative approach to science subjects. After graduating I moved to Montreal in 2018, I started taking care of kids full time. I have experience with new-borns, toddlers, and elementary school children. My interests are analog photography, music making, piano, architecture, storytelling. I speak Russian, Ukrainian and English. I like to lead creative activities such as themed arts and crafts projects, DIY science experiments, and imaginative play scenarios. I developed educational games that incorporated learning objectives, turning everyday play into opportunities for growth and discovery. I created tailored educational modules based on children's interests, incorporating subjects like space exploration, ancient history, or culinary arts. My goal is to provided a supportive environment for children to express their emotions creatively, through art, writing, or role-playing.
