I'm Joelhyn, a 24 year old dedicated and experienced educator based in the Mississippi Mills area. I have always had a love for working with children and it has been my line of work for the last 12 years! I am extremely patient, kind, personable and work with children to meet them exactly where they are. I have always lived in the area & have worked at a few local spots over the years alongside working in childcare. In my free time you may find me doing anything indoors and outdoors from reading to camping to archery to climbing to skiing, as my hobbies are all weather dependent and I love to do lots of different things!

I started babysitting at the age of 13 after receiving the babysitters training course. During my four years in high school, I volunteered at the daycare centre in Almonte, supplying as an educator while I was in college for my ECE diploma. After graduating college I started working there full time for 5 years. I went back to part time last year and just recently graduated Carleton University with a BA in Social and Personality psychology. I have worked with ages as little as 6 months to as old as 11 years as well as children with specialized medical, behavioural and educational needs.

I have a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Algonquin College as well as an RECE license since 2021. I have up to date Standard First Aid and CPR C & AED training, Police Record Checks (VSC), WHMIS, OHSA & a certificate from Algonquin College for Crisis Management & De-Escalation Techniques. I recently graduated Carleton University with a BA in Social and Personality Psychology.
