My name is Deanna. I’m 18 years old and proudly Trinidadian and Grenadian. I come from a strong, supportive family background that has shaped me into a responsible, driven, and caring person. I’m passionate about helping others, especially children and families. I’m known for being patient, dependable, and someone who pays attention to detail. I enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, and spending quality time with the people I care about. I’m also a great listener and communicator, and I take pride in being someone others can rely on. I am going to York University for social work so that I can help out kid I’m eager to gain new experiences, grow in a professional environment, and bring a positive attitude and strong work ethic to any opportunity that comes my way.

While I do not have formal childcare job experience, I have cared for younger siblings, cousins, and family friends’ children on several occasions. I understand how important it is to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. If given the opportunity, I would care for children by: • Ensuring their safety at all times and being attentive to their physical and emotional needs • Keeping them entertained with age-appropriate activities such as crafts, reading, games, and outdoor play • Helping with basic tasks like mealtime, changing clothes or diapers, and bedtime routines • Encouraging learning, positive communication, and good behavior through patience and gentle guidance • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the child’s environment I am responsible, reliable, and good at keeping children calm and entertained. I take pride in being someone kids feel comfortable and safe around.
