Hello! I'm Amber, a loving mother of four with over 30 years of experience in childcare, living in the Mission area. Two of my little ones are still home with me. My experience spans across all ages. As a mother myself, I understand the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. My experience extends to working with children who have special needs which I engage with patience, empathy, and love. I am available for part-time roles. I am looking for live-out arrangements. I am ready to start from the 15th of May, 2024. My educational background includes both high school and college. My goal is to find a job where I can utilize my experience and motherly instincts, whether that’s as a nanny, babysitter, mother's helper, housekeeper or in a special needs capacity. I am dedicated to helping families ease their day-to-day stresses by making sure their little ones are taken care of with all the love and patience they deserve. I have 4 children myself. My oldest is 30. My youngest is 8, so I have plenty of experience in Childcare. My 16 year old son has Autism, ADHD and Tourettes, so I also have 16 years of taking care of someone with special needs. I also babysat a 1 year old for about a year.

I have three grown biological kids and I have 5 bonus kids from my many years of fostering. I am in excellent health. I love hiking, walking, yoga and many hobbies, mainly renovating and decorating my home. I really enjoy the company of kids and have no grandkids yet. Playgrounds, swimming pools and Campbell Valley are three of my favourite places. Glitter, glue and paint are three of my favourite things. I also enjoy cooking and preparing healthy delicious meals. I was a Foster Mom for MCFD for 24 years, I've cared for as many as 7 children at a time. My husband and I are now empty nesters but I miss having children in my life. I have worked with special needs children as well as high energy high functioning children that I home schooled during Covid.

I have two beautiful children of my own, years of experience in the field and studied early childhood education at VCC. I worked as a babysitter/nanny for the majority of my teenage/young adult years. Once I had my own children I focused my attention on them.
