Samantha C.
My name is Sam! I’m a married mom of three, and after spending the past few years focused on raising my kids, I’m looking forward to getting back into the workforce—especially in a role where I can care for and support children and families. I’m originally from Surrey, BC, and moved to Medicine Hat in 2018. My husband and I are youth pastors at a local church, and we’re passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where teens feel supported and at home. Working with kids and teens has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been involved in childcare for many years in different settings. I started as a volunteer in the kids' room at church and eventually became a room lead while I was still a teenager. I’ve also worked as a preschool gymnastics coach, where I taught young children the joy of movement while planning classes and keeping things clean and organized. On top of that, I’ve run my own princess party business—organizing events, dressing up, and creating magical moments for little ones. Of course, raising three kids of my own has been the most hands-on experience of all! I’m used to managing busy days, handling routines, multitasking, and keeping a home running smoothly. I love arts and crafts, baking, and trying new activities that engage kids’ imaginations and help them learn through play. I’m excited about the possibility of working as a nanny where I can bring both my experience and my heart for children into a family’s everyday life.
I’ve worked in childcare for many years in a variety of settings. I got my start in a church environment, where I began volunteering in the kids' room and eventually became a room lead by my teenage years. Since then, I’ve taught preschool gymnastics—helping kids discover the joy of movement while also planning lessons and following cleaning and safety protocols. I’ve also run my own small business organizing princess parties, which combined creativity, planning, and working closely with children and families. On top of that, I’m a mom to three young children, so I’m very familiar with the day-to-day responsibilities of caring for kids and managing a busy household.
