Carrie M.
I am currently a high school student actively seeking part-time work during the summer to gain more hands-on experience with children. I am passionate about working with kids and have been babysitting my cousin's children since they were three years old. I continue to have a close relationship with them, which reflects my ability to build long-term, trusting connections. I am fluent in both Mandarin and English, and I have advanced proficiency in Korean. Since Grade 9, I have consistently participated in volunteer work, training programs, and part-time opportunities focused on child development. I bring strong qualities such as patience, empathy, and a genuine care for both the mental and physical well-being of children. I pay close attention to their growth—not only in the moment, but also with a long-term perspective in mind. I enjoy leading children through new experiences while always prioritizing their safety. I also have experience helping younger children (Grades 1–2) with their homework, and I enjoy supporting their learning in a fun and encouraging way. Outside of work, I love music—I play the guitar and sing—and I find that creativity often helps me connect better with children. I'm excited to continue growing in this field and contributing to families and programs that value nurturing, responsible, and engaged caregivers. I am available for part-time work throughout the summer, including weekends. I am also certified in basic first aid and CPR C. I take my responsibilities seriously, am dependable, and always strive to create a caring and engaging space for children. In the future, I hope to pursue a career involving child development or education.
