Jayla M.
I have always been passionate about reading, art, and creative learning, and I love finding ways to share these interests with children. Whether through storytelling, hands-on crafts, or imaginative play, I believe in fostering curiosity and engagement in a child’s daily routine. My love for working with children led me to pursue a degree in education and philosophy at the University of Toronto, along with a dual MA in child study post-graduation. I have hands-on experience as a kindergarten aide, a high school tutor, and a longtime babysitter, all of which have helped me develop the patience, adaptability, and care needed to support children’s growth. I also volunteer with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind as a sighted guide, which has deepened my understanding of accessibility and inclusion. My background in childcare, combined with my creativity and dedication to fostering a nurturing environment, makes me excited about the opportunity to be a nanny.
