Angelique M.
I have extensive childcare experience spanning many years and age groups. As a teenager, I provided regular babysitting for multiple families during summer weekdays for three consecutive summers, as well as evenings and weekends over the years. I cared for families with one to three children, ranging in age from 6 months to 11 years old. Families consistently expressed high satisfaction with my care and regularly invited me back. I am a highly responsible woman who truly enjoys being present with children—laughing, playing, and creating a safe, joyful environment. I also worked for one summer as a camp supervisor at an outdoors summer camp, where campers stayed for two weeks at a time. I was part of a team of two supervisors responsible for approximately 16 campers aged 10 to 16. Our role included organizing and supervising daily activities, as well as leading multi-day hiking and canoeing trips, which required strong leadership, organization, and safety awareness. I am currently 10 weeks pregnant and deeply engaged in child development research. I have a strong passion for outdoor learning, self-directed play, creativity, and viewing play as a natural flow state for children. I love inventing games, doing arts and crafts, and encouraging children to express their talents and emotions in a safe, supportive, and imaginative environment. I am currently seeking a position for the coming months and am happy to discuss availability and expectations openly. I enjoy cooking and am comfortable preparing meals that accommodate various dietary needs, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and other specific preferences. I am also happy to assist with light household tasks related to childcare, such as tidying play areas, putting toys away, and cleaning up after meals or creative projects, as I value maintaining an organized and respectful environment. I can also help with laundry and cleaning during nap time if required. I am 32 years old and previously worked and studied in civil engineering for several years. I chose to take a break and realign my life following an illness—an experience that strengthened my dedication, resilience, responsibility, and problem-solving skills. I approach challenges with both logic and creativity and take pride in showing up reliably and thoughtfully. In addition, I am trained in yoga and enjoy integrating gentle movement, breath awareness, and presence into daily life. I believe children benefit greatly from learning to tune into their bodies, connect with their breath, and develop a sense of calm, awareness, and embodied confidence. I previously completed First Aid and CPR training, as well as lifeguard certification. Although these certifications have since expired, I am fully willing and motivated to refresh them as required. I have a valid driver’s license and my own vehicle, and I am comfortable with after-school pickups and drop-offs, as well as running errands as needed. I am fluent in both English and French.
