Jodie D.
My name is Jodie, and I’m a compassionate and responsible caregiver with a diverse background and a genuine love for nurturing young minds. I was born and raised in East Maple Ridge and moved to Vancouver at 18 to pursue further education. With professional experience in Operations and Customer Service Management, I’ve developed strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a calm, patient approach—qualities that translate seamlessly to childcare. After living abroad for 6 years, I have just returned to Canada to reconnect with my roots and settle back into life in this beautiful community. I currently live between the 248th area and in Whonnock with my boyfriend and our wonderful dog. As an avid animal lover with years of experience volunteering with rescue cats and dogs, I bring a compassionate, nurturing mindset to every aspect of caregiving. In my free time, I enjoy reading, baking, cooking, running, and exploring the outdoors. I’m excited to offer families my warmth, reliability, and life experience as a nanny. My goal is to create a safe, fun, and enriching environment where children can thrive. I look forward to supporting your family with warmth, kindness, and dependability!
My experience with childcare includes primarily caring for family members. I have two nephews (currently aged 3 and 5) that I have babysat over the past three years. I have previously volunteered with the Allouette River Society and Coquitlam Metro Ford Soccer Club for children's summer camps. I have worked in Customer Service Operations professionally for the past 10 years (my most recent role was at a Cat Cafe, where children from age 6-12 are 50% of our guests). I am college-educated, patient, kind and very active. It would be a pleasure to help you and your family!
