Erika L.
I’m Erika and I’ll be in my second year of Nursing at Western University this September, looking for part-time babysitting jobs for the school year (Starting September 4)! I have experience working with diverse groups of up to 50 children at a time from ages 4-12 as a camp counsellor for the past three years. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know and caring for a wide range of kids with special needs (autism, ADHD, non-verbal, etc.) over this time. I have certificates/training for Standard First Aid/CPR-C, BLS Provider CPR/AED, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, and a Vulnerable Sector Check I can provide. I would be taking the City Bus and living in the West London area, about 10 minutes south of campus! I would describe myself as creative, empathetic, gentle, observant, patient, responsible, family-oriented, and playful! A bit about myself is that I love to sing/play guitar, make crafts, talk about our favourite Disney movies, and get to know each individual child! When working with kids, I really value meeting them where they are at, positive reinforcement, communication with parents, and trying out recommended strategies that best suit each unique child. My availability during first term will be: Mon. after 3:30pm Tues. all day Wed. after 12:30pm Thurs. after 4:00pm Fri, Sat, Sun. all day
