Karissa H.
I’m Karissa! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and over 10 years of experience supporting children and families through babysitting, art classes, reflexology and my current role as Public Program Coordinator at the London Children’s Museum. I specialize in play-based, child-led learning for ages 0–9 and have coached Fanshawe ECE placement students through weekly facilitation of early years playground for child 0-4 and their caregiver. I have run a Science of Play grant project, and created adaptive programming to support developmental milestones. I’m also a certified reflexologist with experience in guided meditation, which helps me bring a calm, holistic approach to childcare. Creative by nature, I love cooking, making art, and finding new ways to make learning fun and apart of every day experience. I’m passionate about community, connection, and helping families thrive through play. I also have a 12 year old golden retriever who I spend my free time with!
