I love to work with children and families

As a dedicated Child and Youth Care student at Keyano College, I have actively engaged in both academic and hands-on experiences that have strengthened my passion for supporting children and families. Through my coursework and practical learning opportunities, I have developed a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, holistic assessment, and ethical practice. My workcare experience includes volunteering in community programs that support children's emotional, social, and developmental needs. I have collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to create safe and inclusive environments, and I have applied core principles of therapeutic relationships, active listening, and cultural sensitivity. I have also gained valuable insight into supporting families through family-focused frameworks, understanding the importance of partnerships in child development. These experiences have not only deepened my understanding of child and youth care practice but also inspired me to continue growing as a compassionate, reflective, and skilled practitioner.
