Monic D.
My name is Monic, and I am currently a 19-year-old university student at the University of Alberta residing in Leduc. I have lived in Canada for 10 years now and basically grew up here. I have three sisters, and I love how close we all are. I enjoy drawing, painting, hiking, reading books, going to the gym, cooking, baking, traveling, exploring new things, playing tennis, pickleball, volleyball, and so much more. I like to always move around and make sure I engage in daily activities, always striving to be a healthier version of myself. I have previously worked in a daycare, and I absolutely loved it. I was saddened when I had to leave for university and could not continue working the same hours. I love being with kids because they are always funny and fun. I have experience working with children of all ages and enjoy handling each age group differently. When I was a daycare teacher, I focused on helping our kindergarten kids with their basic logic, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and sometimes even memorizing their favorite songs. I am excited to be able to help out as much as possible and witness the children grow into their own personalities.
I have my certificate in Early Childhood Education and I worked in Nessie’s Jigsaw Daycare for a year until I had to go back to University. I have dealt with all age group but I worked with the ages of 3-5years old more! Ever since I was a kid as well I would babysit a lot of children and even my own siblings every after school!
