My name is Sophie and I am looking for both full time and part time summer employment. I am a 3rd year student pursuing my secondary schooling at the University of Lethbridge. This past year I was accepted into the Faculty of Education, with hopes to become an elementary teacher in the near future. I just completed my first practicum experience in a grade one classroom for the past five weeks, which was amazing. I have worked the past summer at First Steps Academy Daycare in West Calgary, along with at Winsport as ringette camp instructor, and have also taught preschool learn to skate lessons for two years as well. I have had the pleasure of working with numerous age groups of children in different environments, which adequately provides me with experience that may benefit me for this job. These experiences have allowed me to acquire effective communication skills with younger children and have aided in the growth of my problem-solving abilities and patience. I have the required Current Standard First Aid/CPR/AED certification and I have completed the High Five healthy children development course.

I am a full-time elementary teacher looking for work during the summer months and on weekends/evenings during the school year. I teach grade 1 and hold a first aid certification. I also have a level 3 early childhood education certification from my experience working in daycares during several summers. In addition, I have been a full-time nanny for 2 families in Alberta, with over 10 years of childcare experience. I am passionate about caring for children and teaching them new things.
