I’m passionate about helping families thrive both in their residences and their personal lives. Since our life is centered around the home atmosphere; if the home is flourishing and functioning well, then it naturally flows over into our lives outside of it. I enjoy assisting in creating the thriving, safe and nurturing home; working alongside the parents to uphold their standards, beliefs and requirements and to model the same to their children. It has been my delight to work with children from newborns to young adults. My passion has been to create meaningful experiences to help stimulate brain growth and socialization skills in a safe nurturing environment, for all ages. Each child has a very specific learning style. The skill set that I have, works with each child, identifying their learning style (age appropriate) and strengths; capitalizing on using them as well as introducing new ways to learn to expand their growth development levels. The world has changed tremendously and very few children have ever been taught how to communicate or connect with themselves and what is going on for them. Children are brilliant and quick learners. I have worked with numerous children of all ages, to help them learn how to communicate with their families, peers and others in their lives. This has brought a depth to themselves that is rarely experienced. As well, I am able to clean, organize, cook, drive, entertain children, take care of pets, or perform whatever tasks may be necessary to support the parents. My background of growing up on ranch has contributed to the heart of who I am – honest, hard working, trustworthy, loving, caring, compassionate, giving, reliable and having honor and respect in my conduct with others. Aside from being gentle in nature, I’m energetic, love the outdoors, and continually challenge myself to learn more and better myself in every area of my life. I am a true caregiver/nurturer who is patient and respectful to what is going on for each child; being careful to set healthy boundaries that protect both of us. As well, I do not smoke, drink or use any form of drugs or perfumes. My background in counselling and my own family, broadened my understanding and compassion for every person and the circumstances that they face. Previously I have worked with families and children from all walks of life: foster children and their parents, single parents, low income families, wealthy families, blended families, adults or children with disabilities, long term care and palliative individuals. I have raised a family of three children, worked with foster children, as well as counselled and mentored numerous children over my lifetime. My passion has always been to provide safe, loving support for all that I have been blessed to either raise or come alongside. Now that my children are grown, I would love to be able to support another family with the care and nurturing that they need.
