I recently graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelor of Communications and will be attending Nipissing University this fall for Teachers College in the Primary/Junior division. Working with children has always been a huge part of my life, both personally and professionally, and I am passionate about creating safe, supportive, and engaging environments where children feel encouraged to grow, learn, and have fun.
I have several years of experience working with children through nannying, babysitting, coaching, and summer camps. I spent two years working as a Camp Counselor at Bingemans and have also worked in leadership roles at children’s camps and programs. These experiences helped me build strong communication, patience, leadership, and problem-solving skills while caring for children of different ages and personalities.
Outside of work, I have always been very involved in sports, especially soccer. I played competitive soccer for most of my life and love staying active, being outdoors, and encouraging children to build confidence through play, teamwork, and creativity. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling, and finding fun and meaningful ways to connect with kids through activities, games, and learning experiences.
People would describe me as caring, responsible, dependable, patient, and energetic. I genuinely enjoy building positive relationships with both children and parents, and I take pride in being someone families can trust. I am adaptable, organized, and always willing to go above and beyond to help create a positive environment for the children I work with.
I have extensive experience working with children through nannying, babysitting, coaching, camps, and educational programs. I worked as a Camp Supervisor at CampSTEAM Canada, where I supervised groups of children ages 6–14 during STEM-based summer camps. My responsibilities included overseeing daily camp operations, organizing activities such as coding and science experiments, ensuring camper safety, supervising staff and campers, and creating an engaging and inclusive environment for children. I regularly supervised large groups of children throughout the day.
Prior to this, I worked for two years as a Camp Counselor at Bingemans, where I cared for groups of approximately 10–20 children ages 5–13. My responsibilities included supervising children during waterpark activities, mini golf, indoor playgrounds, meals, and daily camp programming while maintaining a safe, fun, and positive environment. I also communicated regularly with parents and staff to support campers’ needs and ensure children were having a positive camp experience.
In addition, I have several years of nannying and babysitting experience caring for children ranging from toddlers to pre-teens. Through these roles, I managed daily routines, meal preparation, bedtime routines, outdoor activities, homework help, and creative play while ensuring children’s safety and well-being. I am comfortable caring for multiple children at once and adapting to different family routines and needs.
I also have experience coaching young children through soccer programs with the City of Ottawa, where I worked with children ages 3–5 to introduce basic soccer skills, teamwork, confidence-building, and positive social interaction in a fun and supportive environment.
