Tania R.
My name is Tania, and I am currently pursuing an Early Childhood Education program at Conestoga College. I come from a warm and loving Punjabi family, where values of respect, care, and hard work are deeply rooted in our daily lives. I have a passion for reading books, exploring new places, and traveling, as these activities allow me to broaden my perspective and stay curious about the world around me. I also enjoy engaging in creative activities like drawing and singing, especially songs that bring joy and excitement to children, such as "Baby Shark Doo Doo Doo" and "Five Little Monkeys." I am known for my friendly personality, and ability to build meaningful connections with people of all ages. I am a dedicated, reliable, and empathetic individual who believes in creating positive and nurturing environments for others. I’m excited about opportunities where I can contribute my enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication to make a meaningful impact.
As an early childhood education student at Conestoga College, I have gained hands-on experience working with young children in engaging and creative activities. My experience includes: Facilitating Interactive Learning: I have led group activities such as singing educational songs ("Baby Shark Doo Doo Doo", "Five Little Monkeys") and reading children’s books to enhance language and cognitive development. Creative Expression Activities: I guided children in activities like painting with loose parts and using small brushes, encouraging fine motor skills and self-expression. Emotional Well-being Support: I implemented stress-relief exercises, such as deep breathing sessions, to promote emotional regulation and create a positive classroom environment. Observation and Documentation: I have conducted anecdotal observations to track developmental milestones and understand each child’s unique learning style. Through these experiences, I’ve developed strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, enabling me to create a nurturing and engaging environment for children to thrive. I am skilled in managing daily routines, including meal preparation, nap times, and hygiene practices, while maintaining open communication with parents to ensure consistency in care. I ensure they are always supervised in a secure environment, whether during playtime, meals, or daily routines. My dedication to supervision and safety helps create a foundation of trust and security for children and their families. I have hands-on experience of 3 years where I cared for a newborn up to he turned 3 years old.
I have completed my high school education. Currently, I am enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at Conestoga College, where I am gaining practical experience and knowledge in child development, creative learning strategies, and effective classroom management. My education has equipped me with skills in planning engaging activities, fostering emotional well-being in children, and creating nurturing environments that support growth and learning.
