Tara E.
I am an educational assistant as well as a PSW. I also have my own son, as well as a batch of nephews I am close with. Family is important to me, and I look forward to helping yours.
I'm an Educational Assistant with WCDSB and a certified PSW with years of hands-on experience supporting children of all ages and abilities. I also hold a postgraduate diploma in Autism and Behavioural Sciences and am BMS (Behaviour Management Systems) trained. My passion for caregiving began early—growing up in my mother's home daycare, then babysitting, and volunteering as a Girl Guide leader. Professionally, I've worked in both schools and private households, supporting children with and without special needs. I'm trained in proactive behaviour strategies, curriculum adaptation, child development, and play-based learning. I also have medical training in infant care and CPR/First Aid for children. I’m currently raising my own son and love spending time with my nephews—family means everything to me. I’ve also worked as a live-in support roommate and household manager through the New Brunswick Association for Community Living, giving me valuable experience in cleaning, organizing, and keeping a household running smoothly. I believe adults have just as much to learn from kids as kids do from us—especially about imagination, love, and acceptance. I can't wait to support your family with care, warmth, and professionalism.
