Kylie W.
I’m a university student finishing my bachelor’s degree next year as I work toward becoming a physiotherapist. I spend a lot of my free time rock climbing, both indoors and outside, and work at the climbing gym part-time. I also love being outside, whether that is hiking, paddleboarding, skiing, swimming in the lake, or trail running! I’m reliable, trustworthy, and adaptable, and truly care about creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment for kids. It's important to me that children feel seen, appreciated, and confident in themselves, and parents get a well-deserved break, knowing their children are in caring and capable hands.
Since the age of 14, I’ve worked with children from 6 months to 13 years old in a wide range of roles; including full-time summer care, part-time and casual babysitting, overnight stays, and as a mother’s helper. I’ve cared for up to three children at once and have built strong, lasting relationships with families. Beyond babysitting, I’ve coached gymnastics for children aged 5–9 and volunteered in Sunday school programs with elementary-aged kids. These diverse roles (15+ families, over 900 hours total) have given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of personalities and needs. I’m confident supporting daily routines, outings, and activity planning, and balancing assisting with household tasks with providing fun, attentive care. I bring patience, flexibility, and a warm approach to every situation, and am committed to providing care that respects and aligns with each family’s unique parenting approach and values.
I have been taking Standard First Aid and CPR courses since 2019 with recertification scheduled for July 2025, and have had numerous courses with an emphasis on emergency response in my degree, so am confident in safe execution of first aid care.
