I'm currently looking for a part-time position offering respite services for a family with a child who has special needs including: autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities or behavioral challenges. I'm highly passionate about creating a nurturing environment based in play for children to thrive in combined with an ABA approach. If your child attends ABA therapy, OT sessions, or has an SLP I have the experience to integrate those goals in a home setting. I've worked with children in a variety of settings including nanny, daycare teacher, youth support worked and team lead in a group home setting. Currently, I work as a Registered Behaviour Technician (ABA therapist) at a developmental center for children with special needs. I can offer behaviour intervention, socialization through outings and play, assistance with daily routines/life skills, aid in communication (I have worked with Proloquo, pecs and visual schedules), and anything you might need. I'm looking for the right fit and look forward to getting to know you and your child better, please provide a brief description.
