Maya S.
My name is Maya, I am from Hamilton, and I am an Early Childhood Education student with a strong passion for nurturing and supporting children’s development. I have accumulated 5 years of personal childcare experience as well as hands-on experience working in a daycare setting. I have worked with children of all age groups, from newborns to children over 10 years old, and I am confident caring for up to three children at a time. My experience has allowed me to support children with a wide range of personalities and developmental needs, including children with disabilities. I have developed strong skills in patience, adaptability, and creating a safe and supportive environment where every child feels comfortable, valued, and encouraged to grow. I am well known for being responsible, calm, and confident in my approach to childcare. I can assist with a variety of household and childcare duties including meal preparation, light housekeeping, running errands, bathing and dressing children, and supporting daily routines. I am First Aid and CPR certified, have a valid police check, and hold ECE placement clearance. I also have a full driver’s license, my own vehicle, and am willing to travel. My availability is flexible, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings throughout the week. ( I can also speak two other languages:) ) I am currently seeking a full-time position as a babysitter, nanny and or housekeeper starting May 20, 2026. My goal is to provide not only reliable childcare but also a positive, nurturing presence in a family’s home.
My experience in childcare began from a young age, where I naturally found myself helping care for younger children within my family and community. I was often responsible for supporting daily routines such as playing, supervising, and assisting with younger siblings and relatives. These early experiences introduced me to childcare in a very hands-on way and helped me develop patience, responsibility, and a calm approach when caring for children. As I grew older, I continued gaining more experience and developing a strong interest in child development. I learned how important it is to be attentive, understanding, and supportive of each child’s individual needs and personality. These early experiences played a key role in shaping my passion for Early Childhood Education and my decision to pursue a career in childcare.
