I am Makenzie, an 18-year-old young energetic woman from Hamilton who has been working for legendary cleaning services for 6 years. I am currently completing my high school education, but I'll be graduating in about 2 months! What's next for me after graduating is quite exciting - I intend on pursuing higher education in psychology and youth work. The reason behind myChoice? I have always had a strong ardor for working with children. Being the eldest child in my family and having two brothers, two sisters aged between 9-12 years I naturally developed excellent caregiving skills. Additionally, my extended family and family friends often entrusted me with caring for kiddos. Despite my young age, I have accumulated excellent experience in working with young ones, ranging from babies to children over 10 years of age. I thrill in nurturing the big imagination that children have, and I enjoy participating in coloring, outdoor activities, and other adventures they come up with. In terms of hours, I am available to work part-time; evenings on weekdays, and a larger window of availability over the weekend, where I can accommodate mornings, afternoons, and evenings. However, please note that I am looking for a live-out arrangement. I can perform a variety of tasks to support you, such as cooking, light housekeeping, running errands, grocery shopping, and preparing meals for the kids. Plus, I can also transport children, do the children's laundry, bathe and dress them, adhere to special dietary rules, and keep the kitchen tidy. Yet, I am unable to work with children with disabilities. On a final note, I resonate with the "it takes a village to raise a child" phrase and consider it a great privilege to be an invaluable part of your child's upbringing. I have 2 younger sisters and 2 younger brothers who are now currently 9-12, I have always been the older cousin watching all the younger ones, i have watched my moms friends kids many times for many years even when they were as young as still needing to be rocked to skew with a bottle so I do believe I have lots of experience with kids and I do enjoy all the moments I do have when watching them :)
