Abby M.
My name is Abby, and I’m currently studying Missions and Ministry at Redeemer University. I grew up doing competitive gymnastics for several years and have since spent many more years coaching, which sparked my love for working with kids. I have over 6 years of experience leading children in a variety of settings—from summer camps and Sunday school to coaching trampoline gymnastics and supporting classroom learning. I’m passionate about engaging kids in fun, hands-on activities and believe that children thrive best when they’re active, curious, and off screens. I love finding creative ways to involve kids in trying new things—whether that’s a craft, game, baking project, or outdoor adventure—even if it gets a little messy! I enjoy running, rollerskating, and making everyday moments fun and meaningful. I’m dependable, energetic, and always ready to jump into imaginative play, lend a listening ear, or help create a calm, structured environment. I care deeply about helping kids grow in confidence and kindness, and I’d love the chance to bring that into your family’s life.
I have over six years of experience working with children of all ages in a variety of settings, including camps, churches, schools, and athletic programs. I've served as a camp counselor, junior director, and most recently, a Camp Pastor, where I created and led engaging spiritual programming for kids. I’ve also worked as a trampoline coach, leading classes for children as young as three, and have completed multiple Gymnastics Ontario coaching certifications. In church settings, I’ve led kids' ministry programs for large groups (20–40 children), planned lessons and activities, and coordinated special events. I’ve supported teachers in kindergarten classrooms through a co-op placement, helping young students develop literacy skills while managing behavior and ensuring a clean, safe environment. Across all roles, I prioritize safety, clear communication, and creating a fun, inclusive space for kids to grow and thrive.
