My identity intertwines with a place I call home, Hamilton, Ontario, and it feels worthwhile to acknowledge that I am a 34-year-old woman from this charming Canadian city. As a mother, one of the strongest bonds in my life is with my precious 13-year-old daughter, who is an indispensable part of my universe. My background is deeply rooted in a close-knit and nurturing familial environment where I was one among a family of five closely bound members. As one of five siblings, the picture of my family reflects the bonds I shared with my younger brothers and sisters. Being the oldest child in the family, the age difference between me and the youngest member of the family spans twelve whole years. So, quite naturally, a large part of my life has been dedicated to taking care of children, even before my motherhood came into the picture. This nurturing instinct was developed and honed from a young age, all through my growing years. Interestingly, my early twenties led me to tread on a professional path that was perfectly aligned with my inherent affection for children. I served as a daycare helper, where I got the chance to not just take care of, but also connect with lots of amazing little ones on a personal level. Living an active life is something I am ardent about, and spending time outdoors just adds to this zest. Not just a means to keep fit, maintaining a healthy lifestyle for me is a commitment that I strive to uphold at all stages of life. Being outdoors and keeping myself engaged physically has a way of uplifting my spirits and keeping me upbeat. Also, music is an entity that truly captures my soul and elevates my senses; it's something I deeply love and cherish. My zeal for life extends to my affection for animals. I am a dedicated animal-lover, a love reflected in the company of two lovely pets that share my space, and ultimately, my heart. My passion for being around children will soon find another direction as I have decided to go back to school to equip myself professionally as a child and youth worker. Despite the busy schedule that waits ahead, I aim to maintain a certain level of flexibility that would allow me to balance my new learning opportunities with my pre-existing commitments.
