I'm Jess and I have always been passionate about learning. My passion for learning has seen me in roles from newborn to adult learning - and everything in between. I am Canadian by birth but spend several years living and working in New Zealand before returning to Canada a few years ago. My husband and I enjoy a relatively quiet life - we love learning through reading, good food, long walks, gardening, and spending time with family. In addition to child care, the families I have worked for have found many other uses for my ability to juggle many tasks, including meal prep, light housework, filing, and event planning. I enjoy the dynamic nature of working with families and creating an environment where everyone in the home feels supported.

My educational background is in teaching and I have developed deep knowledge of child development. I am passionate about providing an enriched environment for babies and young children to help them with their development. I have extensive experience working with babies and young children. My first position was working for a busy executive family and minding their 6 month old son, including occasionally accompanying the mom on work trips with the baby to mind him in the car and while she worked. My second position was for a family where the mother was in a wheelchair to provide childcare for their 1.5 year old and 2 week old, as well as light housework and meal prep. My third position I was with the family for 2.5 years, beginning when their son was 5 months old. I was fully responsible for his care and meal prep for the family.
