My name is Sofiia, and I am a 19-year-old first-year student at McMaster University. I am currently working as a babysitter and am looking for additional opportunities to gain more experience working with children, as this is something I genuinely enjoy. I have always loved working with kids and have gained a wide range of experience over the years. In the summer of 2022, I worked at the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts camp, where I helped supervise children and engage them in creative and educational activities. I have also volunteered at an International Language School and at Stagecoach Performing Arts, assisting teachers and working closely with young children in a classroom setting. In addition to my professional and volunteer experience, I have extensive hands-on experience caring for my three younger sisters, who are currently 5, 9, and 15 years old. Growing up helping to care for them has taught me patience, responsibility, and creativity, as well as how to adapt to children of different ages and needs. I truly enjoy creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable, engaged, and encouraged to learn and grow.
