Hira A.
During my highschool from 2016 to 2020, I had the privilege of serving as a mentor at CAN U, a nonprofit organization based in the heart of Winnipeg, Manitoba. In this vital role, I dedicated myself to overseeing and nurturing groups of up to ten children at any one time. My primary goal was to encourage their personal growth and overall development. On a day-to-day basis, my responsibilities consisted of mentoring young minds and leading them through various educational and recreational activities at university of Manitoba to widen their perspectives. This involved designing and implementing fun-filled yet informative sessions, fostering their intellectual growth while ensuring they enjoyed their time under my supervision. But my experience with youth isn't confined to just the professional space. I have also gained real-life caregiving experience through my responsibilities for my younger brother at home. This hands-on experience has only further refined my skills and understanding in dealing with children of various age groups. I am a holder of CPR and First Aid certification, having successfully completed rigorous training programs. This demonstrates my commitment to preserving the safety and well-being of those under my care. Let me assure you that all my immunizations are current and up-to-date, reflecting my commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children. Currently, I find myself on an exciting journey towards becoming a fully-qualified dental hygienist. This career path enables me to synergize my burgeoning passion for wide-ranging healthcare with my already established specialization in community service, focusing particularly on assisting children. This role, once again, showcases my humanistic approach and genuine ambition to contribute positively to society while establishing a personal connection with the younger generation.
