Mackenzie B.
Outside of work, I enjoy photography, baking, writing, and exploring nature. I love to learn new things and am always looking for ways to grow both personally and professionally. I live in Hamilton and appreciate the city’s mix of nature and history. I’m passionate about creativity, connection, and making meaningful experiences in everything I do.
I am an enthusiastic, creative, and experienced caregiver with a deep passion for working with children, seniors, and people with disabilities. I spent four years volunteering with the KinderKidz program at CityKidz, assisting young children ages 3-6 with activities and meals in a nurturing environment. I later worked at CityKidz in programming, where I facilitated engaging activities and helped create a safe, inclusive space for children to learn and grow. Additionally, I worked two summers as a camp counselor, leading children aged 3-12, including those with disabilities, in fun, confidence-building activities. Beyond childcare, I have four years of experience as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) at Rygiel, providing care for medically and behaviorally complex individuals, many with cognitive abilities similar to children. I assisted with daily routines, personal care, and activities that encouraged engagement and development. As a summer student at Rygiel for one year, I also led crafts and social activities. My diverse experience has strengthened my ability to connect with children, create engaging environments, and provide individualized support. I am passionate about making a positive impact and would love the opportunity to bring my enthusiasm and dedication to your home.
