I'm Emma, an 18-year-old aspirational elementary teacher who loves working with children. I'm kind, diligent, and respectful, with a passion for reading, writing, swimming, and spending time with family, friends, and pets.

For the past two years I have been employed as a camp counsellor for the City of Hamilton’s summer camp, Kidaca. As a camp counsellor I oversaw the supervision and entertainment of group activities for 9-11 kids ages 6 through 13. Additionally, I worked with younger children, ages 4 through 5. My babysitting experience throughout high-school included caring for 2 children under the age of 6. Through my employment I have obtained firsthand experience of how to properly care for children aged 3-13 and, the importance of routine in a child’s schedule. I completed babysitters certification and have up to date certification in first aid CPR level C.I have obtained a certificate in HIGH FIVE, a principles based training program which focuses on positive play and skill building with children and youth.

I am enrolled in the primary/junior concurrent education program at Brock university, and am resuming my program in the fall term.
