My name is Joanne, a mature 57-years-old dedicated caregiver who has moved to Canada from the UK 11 years ago. I take pride in leveraging my 40 years of work experience including my training as a paediatric nurse back in the UK which spanned two decades in a bustling children's emergency department. This invaluable exposure has equipped me with strong skills to nurture, care, and handle emergencies for children of any age group. I am also competent to cater for children with disabilities. As a mum of 2, my role has not been restricted to just professional caregiving. I have actively been volunteering at YWCA Hamilton under the Good Beginnings program to assist new mums with infants aged below 6 months. This real-world experience adds to my understanding and empathy towards new parents and their kids. Being a caregiver allows me to combine all this experience to provide the best care possible for your children. My responsibilities can include cooking, light housekeeping, running errands or grocery shopping, preparing meals for kids, assisting with kids' laundry and ironing, helping children with homework, and adhering to dietary rules. I am also willing to give baths and dress children, keep the kitchen tidy, walk the dog, and manage family laundry. With a flexible schedule, I am available from Monday to Friday whether it be mornings, afternoons, or evenings. My aim is to work part-time and provide live-out services as a Nanny, Babysitter, Nanny/Housekeeper, Mother's Helper, or even Special Needs.
