Abby H.
My name is Abby, and I live in Hamilton. I'm an experienced nanny with over 5 years of experience, working with children ranging from newborns to those over 10 years old. I'm passionate about childcare and have training in First Aid, CPR, and college-level Child Education courses. I offer various skills and services to the families I work with. These include cooking, light housekeeping, running errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation for kids, transporting children, doing the children's laundry, ironing children's clothing, bathing, and dressing the children. I'm more than happy to help with homework, adhere to special dietary rules, keep the kitchen tidy, walk dogs and care for pets, do the family laundry, organize and plan events, and even clean the entire house. No family is too big for me, as I'm open to working with four or more children. Importantly, I have experience and am comfortable working with children with disabilities. I'm looking for a Full-time or Part-time role as a Nanny, Nanny/Housekeeper, ECE, Special Needs, Mother's Helper, or Nanny/Tutor. Regarding my availability, I have flexible hours throughout the week. On Mondays to Wednesdays, I'm available in the morning and middle of the day, while on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, I can work in the morning, middle of the day, and evening. I prefer a Live-out arrangement and look forward to starting on the 5th of November, 2024. I bring a loving, caring, and nurturing environment to the children I care for. I'm excited about the opportunity to assist your family. I enjoy many pursuits: I regularly sing with the choir at my church, enjoy being active, particularly outside with riding my bike, going for walks, and swimming. I read novels, love music, and have a cat called Smoky.
My experience in childcare and early childhood education is extensive, with over 15 years of experience. Before the pandemic, I was at home with my own children, Jack who is now 11, and Laura who is now 8. Prior to this, I worked for the YMCA School Age Child Care program for a couple of years. Originally from the UK, I came to Canada in April 2003 to work as a live-in nanny under the caregiver's program and worked for a few different families during this time. In the UK, I worked in a day nursery/childcare with children aged 0-2 years for about three years.
Will reinstate to register once again with College of ECE as soon as financially possible.
