I am a dedicated and compassionate 25-year-old nanny living in Hamilton. I understand the challenges of balancing children, home, and personal life, and I aim to provide the necessary support. I have several years of experience, specifically four years, caring for children ranging from newborns to 9-years-old. Currently, I'm a full-time Child and Youth Care student at Mohawk College. My educational background contributes to my calm, patient, and emotionally supportive approach to caregiving. I'm passionate about creating a safe, nurturing environment in which children are encouraged to grow and learn. I take great pleasure in helping young children with early literacy and everyday learning through gentle guidance and playful interaction. I excel in engaging children through arts, crafts, baking, music, imaginative play, and outdoor activities. I'm also prepared to offer support beyond childcare, such as providing infant care, meal preparation for the children, light housekeeping, laundry, running errands, grocery shopping, and assisting with homework. My experience encompasses caring for children with disabilities and special dietary needs. Moreover, I respect various family values and religious beliefs. On a personal level, I'm a non-smoker, a proficient swimmer, and fluent in English. I'm also a proud Canadian citizen. In terms of my availability, I'm generally free in the evenings from Monday to Sunday but also have slots during the day on Thursdays and Fridays. I am able to provide some overnight care close to Mohawk College, as well as on any days that I have off from school. Although I don't drive, I am reliable using public transit and always ensure punctuality. I aspire to become a trusted part of your family, providing you and your children with warmth, patience, and understanding. Whether you need assistance with a nanny, mother's helper, babysitter, or nanny/housekeeper, I look forward to helping lighten your responsibilities and bring tranquillity to your household.
I was a personal nanny for two years, for a small family. A boy age of 3 and a younger girl almost 1. It was someone my mom knew. I worked every day from 7am-10pm or over night if needed. I cooked meals for the kids. If the parents where coming home for supper, the meal was pre-made and kept warm till they got home. I cleaned the house as well and did laundry. Anything I don't know how to do, I learn vey quickly. l am very hands on with kids, and try to avoid electronics. (meaning I play games/toys read books, play outside often unless that’s what they are used to but tend to not). I can’t drive but am familiar with taking the bus for groceries or to pick kids up from school if need be. Love to take the kids to parks or take them to Tim’s/McDonald’s for a treat (special occasions). I have no pet allergies and can help take care of pets if you have any. Im very familiar with house work (laundry, dishes, dinner prep, vacuuming, and meal-prep, pet care, house cleaning, dippers, kids to bed etc). I am available at most evening hours, most days of the week. Though can we schedule a day I have off for myself, or a day with shorter hours to do some self care and recharged. Send me a message and we can chat and see if I am a good fit.
