My name is Josephine, from the Philippines. I graduated as a Midwife in the Philippines. I went to Greece to work as a Nanny, looking after an 8-month-old baby for 2 years. After that, I came to Canada and worked for a Canadian Realtor couple in King City for 2 years as a Housekeeper, looking after a 10-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy who were attending school. They also have 3 children in university. I also worked for a couple with 2 daughters, ages 2 and 4, driving them to school and to their extracurricular activities. As a single mother of 3 children, I raised them while my youngest son was born. I went back to school here in North Bay at Canadore College and graduated as a Registered Practical Nurse. I have worked for 15 years as a full-time nurse and also worked part-time simultaneously. On my days off, I clean houses for extra income.

1) Spent 2 years in Athens, Greece taking care of an 8-month-old baby: feeding, bathing, and taking the child for a walk. Also woke up at night when the baby cried. Housekeeping duties were performed while the baby was sleeping. 2) Contracted for 2 years as a housekeeper for a Canadian family in King City with 5 adult children. 3) Employed for a 2-year contract by a family of 4 in BAYVIEW AND MOUNT PLEASANT. The parents are businessmen with 2 school-age daughters who attend Montessori School. Drove the daughters to school, tennis lessons, swimming lessons, and piano lessons. 4) Worked full-time picking up a 9-year-old boy after school in Oakville, driving him home, cooking for him, and staying with him for 3 hours until his parents returned home from work.
