My name is Jessica and I am a 22-year-old graduate student who currently resides in Georgetown, Ontario. Born in Georgetown, I grew up in an amazing family with both my parents and two siblings. I am also Irish and Portuguese with a family-oriented background. Graduating from my local high school with honours, I attended the University of Guelph from 2020-2024 where I studied both psychology and sociology with courses that explored child development and well-being. I am currently in the process of attending Teacher's College at Niagara University where I am obtaining my Bachelor of Professional Study degree where I intend to be certified by the OCT to teach at the primary and junior grade levels. As you have probably gathered from my studies, I absolutely love education and learning and therefore, I am willing to assist you and your child academically in any way possible if needed. Additionally, some of my hobbies and interests include reading, painting, spending time with family and friends as well as personal fitness and health. I grew up in a very athletic household and played many sports including hockey, soccer, volleyball, and more. Some attributes of mine worth noting would be my ability to work efficiently with others, I am a great communicator and will listen to what others have to say openly, and I am very organized, professional and respectful. I value the relationships that I establish with those around me and always believe in giving 110% effort in everything that I do. Was certified with First Aid in 2015 and given my official babysitting certification. Began babysitting in 2015 until 2020. Have completed over 300 hours of volunteer in schools across the Halton Region in classes ranging from kindergarten to grade 5. Currently attending teachers college to teach children between the same grades. Currently in the process of getting recertified for CPR and First Aid and have had training in housekeeping, WHIMIS, and food management and am also currently a server.
