Sy L.
NB native new to Halifax looking for childcare jobs. I am currently a special needs monitor fro STC and would like to continue this job. I started caring for young children at age 15. My sister was born when i was 12, and being the oldest I got to help in her development. I was there to potty train, introduce new foods, new ideas and instilled her curiosity for the world today. Since then I wanted to be a parent. Due to my health, I am not able to have my own children. So now i care for those who need a little extra help. Whether its the parents, support system or the kids themselves, I am always there to give a helping hand (by nature) I am able to drive, however I do rely on public transportation and rides via carpooling. I also have a valid first aid certificate and several other pertaining to child care. I prefer low-stimulus entertainment such as reading, music and properly paced TV shows. I am Ti-lingual(English, French and Spanish) and currently attempting to learn another(ASL) I enjoy cooking from scratch and teaching recipes to anyone who desires. I also understand the need for independence. I work with parents on skill levels and age groups on what to teach for both life lessons and school. I look forward to answering any other questions you may have
