● Assist with admission, transfer and discharge of patients by: • Orienting patients to their physical environment upon admission. • Taking and recording of vital signs, height and weight of patients • Observing, recording and reporting all abnormal findings • Preparing patients and their environment at meal time including feeding patients when required. ● Uses the nursing process or provides safe, quality nursing care ● Perform nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of patients by: • Providing treatments, using therapeutic techniques. • Attending patients' hygienic and comfort needs. • Making an occupied and unoccupied bed. • Applying hot and cold compress to patients. • Collecting specimens from patients for laboratory examinations • Providing post-mortem care. ● Accompanies physicians to the patients' rooms. ● Initiates and actively participates in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation as required. Administers prescribed medications • Inserting and observing progress of intravenous infusion. • Maintaining prescribed infusion rates. • Ensuring that IV sites are intact. ● Provides appropriate nursing assignment and intervention ● Participate in patients' family teaching and discharge planning. ● Maintains documentation of nursing observations and action according to Nursing Department Standards.
