I am from Kingston, Ontario and moved to Halifax to study at Dal almost two years ago and love it here! I graduated high school with a French immersion diploma and still feel fairly confident using my French skills, although I am a little bit slower than I used to be with it. Growing up I played lots of sports, like soccer and basketball and loved being outside. My family is big into skiing and has travelled lots, which definitely influenced my love for being active and being outside. I am quite close with my family and have a brother who is just over a year younger than me. I love animals and have a dog at home, that I miss so much. I spent my summer here last year with my roommates and other friends and had the best time. I am planning on spending my summer in Halifax again this year and am very excited. I am very social and love being around my friends and family, and I feel like I am a pretty outgoing and personable person.

I babysat for family and friends growing up. I was an emergency supply teacher for the summer after my first year of university, and still do it occasionally when I am home. I was a camp counsellor at Banook Canoe Club last summer. My main responsibilities in each job were to keep the kids entertained and prioritize their well-being. As an emergency supply teacher, I made sure kids were getting their work done and listening while they were having fun. As a camp counsellor, I came up with fun activities throughout the day while making sure that everyone in my group was taking breaks as needed, eating enough and staying hydrated, staying protected from the sun, and being safe. While babysitting, the most I have looked after is three kids at a time, but at camp, my groups were up to 9 kids, and at school, I had classes with around 25 kids.
