I am a 3rd-year student at Dalhousie University pursuing a BA in Environmental Studies and German. I absolutely love nannying and have decided to reduce my number of courses to open my availability. I love spending time outdoors and learning new things. As someone who grew up homeschooled, I tend to take a teaching approach with children. This means I model and explain behaviour and everyday occurrences (everything from making a sandwich to identifying colours). I love encouraging curiosity and furthering a child's ability.
I have worked for more than 5 families between the ages of 0-11 since 2015. For the last three years, I worked full-time (40-45 hours a week) during the summer for various families. I love to foster a learning environment and always include educational elements in our day. Duties I have had over the years have included meal prep, school pick-ups, after-school care, evening shifts, cleaning, and supervising activities. I love to watch multiple children and have no trouble with a busy environment! I have first aid-CPR certifications. I am looking for SHORT TERM work from JANUARY thru APRIL (due to university semesters).
