Callie A.
My name is Callie, and I am a Psychology student at the University of Guelph seeking a full-time childcare position. I am a kind, caring, energetic, and responsible individual with several years of experience caring for children of all ages, from infants to school-aged children. I have a genuine passion for working with children and love creating a fun, safe, and positive environment where they can learn, grow, and be themselves. I enjoy engaging children in creative activities, outdoor adventures, games, crafts, reading, and educational play. My experience includes long-term babysitting and full-time nannying, which has helped me develop strong communication, problem-solving, and caregiving skills. Outside of childcare, I love spending time outdoors, going for walks, exploring nature, and being around animals. I am an active person who enjoys staying busy and bringing positive energy into everything I do. My studies in psychology have also given me valuable insight into child development, behaviour, and the importance of building supportive relationships. Families describe me as dependable, patient, trustworthy, and nurturing. I take pride in being someone parents can rely on and someone children feel comfortable and excited to spend time with. I am currently looking for a full-time position where I can build a meaningful connection with a family while providing exceptional care and support for their children.
I am a Psychology student at the University of Guelph with a lot of childcare experience working with children of all ages, from infancy through elementary school. Over the past several years, I have had the opportunity to care for two wonderful families, which has helped me develop strong caregiving, communication, and responsibility skills. For the first family, I babysat their three of their children for approximately five years. I began caring for two of the children from the time they were babies and continued until they reached Grade 1 and the other all throughout elementary school. During this time, I helped with feeding, diaper changes, nap routines, meal preparation, bedtime routines, and age-appropriate activities that supported their development. As they grew up, I helped with after school learning, creative play, outdoor activities, and maintaining structured daily routines. Watching them grow and supporting their development over such a long period taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and especially building positive relationships with the kids. For the second family, I worked as a full-time nanny for eight months while school was out during the pandemic. In this role, I was responsible for the child's daily care, including planning activities, preparing meals, maintaining routines, ensuring safety, and providing a fun and engaging environment. This experience strengthened my ability to independently manage childcare responsibilities while adapting to the individual needs and personality of the child. Through these experiences, I have gained confidence caring for children at different developmental stages and understand the importance of balancing responsibility with fun. I am a very energetic, enthusiastic person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. I love creating engaging activities, playing games, encouraging creativity, and helping children learn and grow in a positive environment. Families have trusted me with their children's care because I am dependable, attentive, patient, and committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for every child I work with. If you are looking for full time babysitting and nanny work during June to the start of September I'm your person!
