Talya U.
I am a nurturing and creative individual currently studying Studio Arts with a minor in Sexualities, Gender, and Social Change. I bring a thoughtful, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children, valuing creativity, inclusivity, and open communication. I’m passionate about fostering a positive and nurturing environment where children feel seen and supported. Outside of work, I love spending time gardening, reading, and exploring nature. At home, I have a small cat who keeps me company. Known for being reliable, adaptable, and attentive, I am excited to contribute my energy and creativity to support your family’s needs and help your children grow in a caring and safe space.
As I work toward completing my BA in Studio Arts at the University of Guelph, I’ve continued to grow my passion for working with children through hands-on educational experiences. I’ve completed a co-op placement in a Grade 3 classroom, volunteered in numerous academic settings, and have been babysitting for as long as I can remember. With both of my parents working in education, I grew up actively involved in supporting the development of children. These experiences have inspired my goal of becoming an elementary school teacher, and I plan to attend Teachers College to continue that journey.
