Hayley H.
I’m a 20-year-old psychology student at the University of Guelph, and I’ve always loved working with kids. I started back in 2019 when I volunteered at Victory Hockey Camp, helping with both on-ice and off-ice activities and making sure the kids transitioned smoothly between them. In the summer of 2022, I coached soccer with Soccer Shots, running practices for kids aged 3 to 12. From 2022 to 2024, I also worked as a swimming instructor, traveling to different homes to teach private lessons to kids aged 3 to 14. Watching kids learn, grow, and have fun is something I genuinely enjoy, and it’s a big part of why I want to become an elementary school teacher. I’m planning to apply to a Master’s in Education program, so this kind of experience would be both a lot of fun and a great step toward my future career. A bit about me—I’m friendly, outgoing, and easy to get along with. I’m also very patient and understanding, which I think are really important qualities when working with kids. I’m trained in First Aid and CPR, and I love animals—I have two dogs of my own, so I’m always happy to help out with pet care too. In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching sports, doing arts and crafts, spending time outside, and hanging out with friends and family. I also hope to travel and see more of the world someday!
