My name is Susan, a vibrant 63-year-old woman with over 40 years of experience in caregiving. I am a retired administrator from the University of Guelph, now looking for an opportunity to share my compassion, love, and care as a nanny or a mother's helper on a part-time basis. Being a mother of four grown children and a proud grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren, I am fond of creating a peaceful, cozy atmosphere for children while encouraging moms when they return home. My nurturing spirit and vast experience allows me to work with different age groups, from newborns to children over 10 years old. At this point, I'd like to focus on care for one child at a time. I believe in encouraging creativity in children to balance their mental and physical well-being - outdoors, crafting, sewing, baking, gardening, and imaginative play. I find solace in reading, knitting and cooking, but what's more, my childhood experience in Bombay made me appreciate the values of culture and imaginative play. In terms of responsibilities, I am capable of performing a variety of duties including cooking, light housekeeping, running errands, grocery shopping, preparing meals for kids, transportation, homework assistance, and adhering to special dietary rules. My strong organizational skills are key in keeping the kitchen tidy and managing family laundry. I currently live in Guelph and can start immediately. My schedule is primarily flexible on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, spanning morning, the middle of the day, and into the evening. I hold a Bachelor's Degree, lending credence to my ability to provide tutoring assistance as part of my job scope. Raised four children of my own and now watch my grandkids when possible (they live up north). When my children were small had a home daycare for a couple of years. Love our wee neighbours next door and get a charge out of watching the kids across the road at John McCrae School. Was very involved there in my children's classrooms during elementary school. Love to clean, cook and organize as well.

My degree is in psychology and anthropology. Also have my Grade 8 Conservatory piano certificate, attended a start you own business course and a course at George Brown - Writing for the Children's Market.
