Samantha M.
My name is Sam, I am a 19-year-old Child Studies student at the University of Guelph with a passion for helping children. My dream is to become a child life specialist, stemming from the belief that every child needs and deserves a supporter in their corner. With 5 years of experience caring for children of all ages, I've cultivated a range of skills that makes me a confident and competent nanny who can handle a variety of circumstances and needs. In addition to my academic study, I've learned first-hand from looking after my nephews and other children. I also have additional experience teaching and caring for children in a dance studio setting. Being the youngest of five, I've grown up with an appreciation for family and a deep-rooted love for pets. I am comfortable around animals and can care for them as part of my duties. I enjoy outdoor activities and I believe children should embrace the joy of nature. Whether it's playing in the backyard, running around the park, or outdoor educational games, I am ready to engage in fun yet enriching experiences. My availability spans across the week primarily in the midday, evening, and night time. I am honest, reliable and compassionate with a heart set on making a difference in children's lives. Despite not having a vehicle for use on the job, I am comfortable travelling to cater to your needs. I am primarily seeking part-time work under a live-out arrangement in Guelph. I am comfortable working with up to three children at a time, regardless of their age or abilities. On top of my comprehensive high school and bachelor's degree education, I've attended specific CPR and First Aid courses to better equip myself for emergencies. I am willing to obtain a police check if desired and can provide a character reference on request. Although my focus is on providing the best care for your children, I'm also open to nanny/tutor, babysitter and special needs roles. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to know more about me. I am ready to start immediately!
I am a second-year Child Studies student at the University of Guelph and have been babysitting since I was 14. I have cared for my nephews and many other children, ranging from newborns to eleven.
