After finishing my degree in Kingston, I moved to Ottawa and have been enjoying getting to know the city! I am looking for work in/around the centretown area. I grew up in a busy family playing sports, taking music lessons, reading lots of books, and enjoying thought-provoking conversations (definitely not arguments!) with my brothers and parents. I like to say I grew up babysitting because I have a younger brother, but my nannying experience really began when I was in high school. And from then on, I knew I wanted to work with kids in my future career. Families often find me to be a patient, kind, and very caring addition to their lives. Children always have a unique way of communicating and it's one of the many reasons I love what I do. Recently, I have been working in the child services field, and have been gaining experience in children’s programming. This has enhanced my understanding of how to curate safe, enriching environments for children and my ability to integrate skill-enhancement into play and activities. Some of these experiences included daycare and Montessori supply teaching, tutoring for a schoolboard’s literacy camp, EarlyON program facilitation, and program coordination at a non-profit.
