Megan O.
My name is Megan, I am 20 years old and a high school graduate (Mont-Bleu, Class of 2022). I currently live with my parents and don’t have children yet, though I look forward to having a family of my own one day. I got my driver’s license in March 2023 and am a safe, responsible driver with no accidents. I’m attentive, aware of my surroundings, and take safety seriously. I am someone that cares a lot for people. I love making people happy, supporting others, and bringing positivity wherever I go. I have a good head on my shoulders and I would say that I am very understanding and calm with children. I like being active, I like being good at what I do, and I like meeting new people. Babysitting has been a big part of my life for almost 10 years, and I truly love it. Children’s happiness, growth, and comfort are always my priority.
My first language is french but I am very good in english. I started driving by myself in 2023 and have a reliable car. I can cook, do tasks, be active, tutor and care for your children in many ways. I have nearly 10 years of experience caring for children, starting at age 11 and continuing into my early 20s. I completed a babysitting certification course, and have cared for children of all ages, from toddlers to school-aged kids, in both family and professional settings. My experience includes supporting children with different personalities, high energy levels, and unique needs, including autism and language barriers. I worked with three different families outside of my own, as well as family friends and cousins. The first family was 2 kids ages 3 and 5. I was there on and off until the 3 years old started primary school. This young boy later was diagnosed with autism; I adapted to his needs with patience and understanding, ensuring he felt comfortable and supported. The second family, it was only one girl of 6-8 years old, I also was there on and off. That little girl was filled with high energy, I engaged her, and myself, in active play and gave her my undivided attention for hours at a time. Lastly, the third family, it was also just one little girl, and she was close to being 4 years old. She spoke only Spanish while learning English. Despite the language barrier, we connected through play, music, and mutual learning. I also safely transported her from daycare, secured her in a car seat, and provided meals and care after daycare. I had a regular schedule with her. Finally, I changed diapers and cared for children as young as 1 year old within my extended family. I practiced handling "not too nice" behavior with cousins and other children, by staying calm and patient without raising my voice. I balance being firm with showing empathy, making sure children feel understood while respecting boundaries set by parents. I love caring for children, supporting their happiness, and creating a safe, fun environment where they feel understood. Parents and children have always expressed positive feedback about my work. I’ve consistently been asked back by families, and every position I’ve left was due to family moves or circumstances beyond my control—not because of performance. I am reliable and easy to talk to. I took a CPR course in the past but I need to go back, I was planning on doing that soon. I am open to interviews and any questions !! :)
I have done the CPR training but my certification is expired. I am going this week to retake it.
