My name is Jen, and I have recently returned to Victoria, BC, after my vacation in my home country, the Philippines. I’m excited to connect with families like yours as I look for a full-time/part-time home child care opportunity. I hold a valid Home Child Care Provider work permit that allows me to live and work legally in Canada, and I am planning to stay long-term to continue building meaningful connections through caregiving. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Financial Management. While my early career was rooted in various accounting roles in the Philippines, my passion for caring for others led me to complete a six-month Caregiving Training Program, which focused on both childcare and elderly care. To further enrich my child caregiving skills, I am currently enrolled in a free online course through Alison titled "Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Development." This course is helping me better understand the emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of young children. Additionally, I have recently completed Standard First Aid and BLS – CPR/AED training, ensuring that your little ones will be in safe and capable hands under my care. I bring with me not only qualifications but also a genuine love for working with children. I aim to provide a nurturing and secure environment that supports your child’s growth, development, and happiness. P.S. I don’t have a driver’s license, and I don’t know how to drive a vehicle. I only cycle. I cycle every day to get to the places I need to go around Victoria. I’m also not comfortable with big dogs, but I am okay with small dogs and cats. I’m a warm, attentive, and dependable nanny with hands-on experience caring for children aged 1 to 5 in Victoria, BC. I’m passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can learn, play, and grow. I'm confident in managing daily routines including feeding, diaper changes, nap schedules, and planning age-appropriate activities that support early development.

I am a British nanny and babysitter who moved to the island in 2023 with my husband and three children, aged 15, 11 and 5. I have been working in childcare since 2013 and started my own business, Jane's Sitting Service in 2015 and again in 2023 when we emigrated to the island. I have lots of experience with children of all ages, including working with many neurodivergent families, from autism and adhd to global development delay and sensory processing disorder. My own children are also neurodivergent, so the experience continues within my home too. As a caregiver, I absolutely love what I do... the best thing about working with children is that every day is different and you get to see the world through their eyes, which is pretty unique, sometimes a little crazy but always lots of fun. As a nanny, I am very outgoing, have lots of energy and I love to be out and about exploring. I am kind, caring, trustworthy and patient. I try to adjust to each families individual needs and understand that all children are unique and as a care giver, you need to be adaptable. I also focus on providing a safe and nurturing environment with my business moto of 'play, learn and grow together'. As a mum of three, I understand how busy and overwhelming life can feel, juggling childcare, a job, a house and everything else that goes with the day to day tasks of being a parent, and I would love to be that extra pair of hands to support that routine and make some of those day to tasks more manageable. If your family is in need of a nanny, babysitter or mothers help, and you feel i may be a good fit for you, please do reach out or add yourself to my page and we can chat further. I have availability Monday to Friday and try to be as flexible as possible, with my ideal hours being 9-2 (although i am happy to offer longer hours if I am able to collect my daughter from school and bring her to work with me, but I appreciate this isn't for everyone). I am looking for a minimum of 10 hours per week, but have availability for up to 25+ hours as a nanny/nanny share role or mothers help. I am also ideally looking for work in the Langford, Colwood, Royal bay area but have my own vehicle so am happy to commute for the right family. I am first aid and CPR trained (renewal 31st March 2027) and am willing to get a criminal record check should this be required. I have a level 3 qualification from the the uk in working with children and young people, which is similar to an ECE here and past experience of working in a daycare setting, before starting my own business. I also volunteer as a soccer coach at Gorge, working with the under 6s and can provide lots of references. Worked as a nanny and babysitter for the last 10 plus years

My name is Abby and I am a 20 year old student at UVIC. I am the oldest child of a large blended family which has provided me with extensive experience taking care of children. I have always loved spending time with kids and am seeking my undergrad in hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher. I moved to Victoria from Kamloops about a year and a half ago and love to spend time outdoors. I own a car and am comfortable transporting children to and from activities or day care ect. In my free time I love to read, rock climb, explore the island, and spend time with my friends. I would love to connect with anyone seeking a nanny/housekeeper and discuss any further questions you may have. My salary is completely negotiable as I understand not all families are in the position to pay the same rate for childcare. I would be more then happy to provide references from past employers and/or a criminal record check. I hope my profile finds you well and please reach out with any questions or concerns! Two years ago I was employed as a nanny where I would care for three children (ages 5, 7 and 9). I would cook three meals per week for the family, do light housework such as laundry, pick the children up from daycare, transport the children to and from activities, and help them with homework. My professional experience ends here however I have casually babysat for multiple families. I also grew up with three brothers who I am significantly older than and because of this I am extremely comfortable taking care of younger children and would say that I am extremely experienced. I love spending time with kids and am hoping to become an elementary school teacher once I am done at UVIC. I am currently attending UVIC and in my third year of my undergrad.

I am a Marine Biology major at the University of Victoria, I have a lot of experience working with children! With children, I encourage them to look and enjoy the tiny wonders of the world. As the world is so busy, it even affects children to not have the time to wonder and admire the little things in life. I like to take the time with them to explore the outdoors. I love to cook and have been vegan for 10 years now. In my past jobs my vegan cooking has been oh so enjoyed even though none of the families were vegans themselves, but did enjoy eating more plant-based meals. I have worked with a Family of 3 children. 8 months old, 6 years old, 10 years old. I spent 2 years as a full-time, live-out nanny. Prepared lunches for the two older kids. Once they were in school I would have one on one time with the youngest. We would play, go on walks, go to sing-a-longs at the library, then I would make lunch and meal prep some dinner for the family. Once I put him down for nap I would do house chores and then his nap time was up and I would pick the children up from school and give them a snack and start them on their chores/homework. Eventually they started after-school programs so I would organize their swim bags/ect. and get them to their classes after school. I later was a live-in nanny for a 4-year-old. I would take her to and from school in my own vehicle and prepare after school lunch for her. Her parents would often go on trips, so I would have her with me for a week or weekend. If her parents were working from home I would take her on adventures to allow her to use her mind and energy in a productive way. Every other weekend and for some trips I would care for a 13 year old with Cerebral palsy. Sometimes I would care for her 3 other siblings (2, 4, 11) when needed. We would go to play parks, go on walks, go to the mall, go swimming and during trips to Tofino we had many fun days on the beach. I would bathe her, feed her, change diapers, play and do some occasional laundry. My most recent Nanny job was with a family with 2 children, 5 -7. I would walk or drive them to school every morning, sometimes preparing their lunches. I would return to their home to do some light cleaning such as making the kids beds if needed, vacuuming, organizing the living room, and doing some occasional laundry and ironing just to maintain an easy flow of the house. I would pick the 5 year old up from preschool and make her some lunch, or we would make a new recipe together which she loved. We would play engaging games and hang out until I would take her to gymnastics and then pick up her brother from school. We all had a lot of fun together and I still visit them although I have been away for 2 years.

I was born and raised in Victoria and come from a family that values community. I live with my fiancé and pet bird, and I like to spend my time being active when I’m not working or taking care of the house. I have always been fond of children, and have enjoyed being a part of my nieces’ and nephews’ lives as the fun aunt that is ready to get involved in which ever activity/play time idea they come up with. I particularly enjoy cultivating a sense of curiosity and adventure. However, just like with adults, I think it’s important to listen and get to know children’s personalities and preferences/dislikes to learn how best to create a safe and happy environment for them to thrive in. I’m also a huge animal lover and I enjoy getting to have the company of any and all animals, and would love to take care of any pets you may have. I have had several nieces and nephews that I’ve babysat over the years. In addition, I’m also a teacher for a kids’ exercise class once a week. My approach to kids is to appreciate the spirit of each child as they are, and to learn about them to engage in activities they find interesting and to encourage that curiosity. I think outdoor play is important, weather permitting, and learning to play indoors with the imagination is also required. I also really enjoy spending time with animals, so if anyone has any pets I wouldn’t mind also caring for them, including taking dogs on walks (even better if we can get the kids out in a walk too!) I have a Masters in Science.

I'm 32 years old and originally from Germany. I'm a trained pediatric nurse with over 8 years of hospital experience and have cared for children since my early teenage years. Growing up in a big family, working with kids has always felt natural and fulfilling to me. I love seeing them learn, grow, and explore the world with honesty and pure joy. I currently work full-time as a nanny for a family with two toddlers, supporting them with daily care, meal prep, outings, housework, and following a gentle, development-focused approach inspired by Dr. Becky. Next to my job, I’d be happy to support your family with warmth, reliability, and lots of love—whether you need an extra hand with the kids, time for yourself, or help around the house. Families in Cook Street Village and the surrounding area preferred! I am a trained pediatric nurse with over 8 years of hospital experience (2015–2023), specializing in the care of newborns and premature babies. My work included monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and supporting parents in caring for their infants—from diaper changes to feeding and bathing. I also cared for children and teens on the pediatric ward, focusing on diabetes, internal medicine, and domestic neglect. I am currently working as a nanny for a family with two toddlers, bringing my extensive medical background and nurturing approach into a home setting. B.A. in Healthcare management
