Hello! My name is Carol, and I have been passionately working as a nanny for an impressive 31 years. There's a unique charm about caring for children, witnessing their growth from infanthood to school age, and being a part of this wondrous journey, that reinvents the love I have for my profession more each day. You'll mostly find me involving the children in outdoor activities, creative crafts, and play, with minimal to no screen time. I firmly believe in the power of balance, for that reason, love and consistent discipline serve as the pillars of my caregiving approach. I am a confident woman of 60, hailing from Edmonton. I am hands-on with Early Childhood training, CPR, and first aid skills. My extensive experience has endowed me with full capability to cater to a maximum of two children at a time, even if they demand special care or are differently-abled. You will find in me, a nanny skilled in cooking, light housekeeping, running errands, preparing meals for kids, assisting with homework, and even taking care of your pets! My aspiration is to provide versatile assistance that reduces your stress and enriches your child's life simultaneously. While I do possess a driver's license, I currently do not own a vehicle. That being said, I have no trouble getting around the south side of Edmonton, either on my bicycle or by transit. I am also actively open to performing transport tasks using cars provided by employers. Currently, my schedule can accommodate childcare during the mornings and mid-days from Monday through Friday. I am proficient in speaking English and am a proud Canadian, equipped with a work permit and a clean police record. My past employers have been nothing but satisfied with my service, a term I'm excited to extend to your family as well. I am available for a long-term, part-time nanny position and I look forward to starting this new journey with your family as soon as 30.04.2024. I assure you, my expertise and love for children will make me a reliable companion your family will value. Over 32 years I have cared for newborns to 9 years old. I like long term jobs, I am willing to stay with the right family for 3 or 4 years. I can prepare baby foods and bottles and nutritious foods for older children. I have taken children swimming, on field trips to the zoo and nature walks. I have even helped children learn to swim, ride a bike, read and write and tell time. I have toilet trained many children. I have many craft ideas and games. I completed most of the Early Childhood Development Course at Grant MacEwan 35 years ago, but found the practical work was all in daycare and I preferred to work with just a couple of children so I can give them lots of individual love and attention. Then I can listen to and help them communicate their needs better.
