Lexi K.
ECE student | Montessori-inspired, trauma-informed nanny with 10 yrs experience | Creating safe, independent spaces for every kid 💛 I’m Alexxis — but everyone calls me Lexi! 👋 Eldest Sister Energy ✋ + 10 Years of Kiddo Experience 💛 I’ve been the go-to sitter since age 12 and started nannying at 16. As the big sister of 4, I basically came out of the womb with a diaper bag. I’m 22 and currently in school for my ECE, because like Einstein said: “Once you stop learning, you start dying.” And I plan on living a lot. My Philosophy Montessori-inspired + trauma-informed. I believe in child-led play, independence, and “help me do it myself.” I create calm, prepared spaces where kids feel safe, seen, and capable — whether they’re working through big feelings or mastering pouring their own water. My Heart for Kids I have experience supporting children who come from extreme trauma and children with disabilities. I lead with patience, consistency, and respect for every child’s pace. My Vibe Home base: Me, my boyfriend, and our zoo of animals 🐾 Happy place: Outside in nature, in a museum, or covered in paint Always down for: Gardening, cooking, baking, reading, art projects, and practical life skills Quick Stats Experience: 10 years childcare, 6 years nannying, trauma-informed & disability support Education: Studying ECE, always learning Special Skills: De-escalation, visual schedules, sensory play, practical life activities, turning cardboard into castles Let’s chat and see if I’m your family’s missing puzzle piece! 🧩
My Childcare Experience: 10 Years Ages 12-16 | Babysitting | 4 years Started with neighbors and family friends. Date nights, after-school care, bedtime routines. Infants through age 10. Learned fast that consistency > chaos. Ages 16-22 | Nannying | 6 years Private families, 1-4 kids at a time, ages newborn to 12. Full-time and part-time. School runs, meal prep, homework, activities, overnights. Specialized Experience | 5+ years Supporting children with extreme trauma and children with disabilities. Trauma-informed care, visual schedules, sensory diets, de-escalation, behavior plans, IEP/IFSP collaboration with parents + therapists. Current | ECE Student Studying Early Childhood Education to deepen my Montessori-inspired, child-led approach. Because like Einstein said: “Once you stop learning, you start dying.” Key skills I’ve built: Diapers to big-kid emotions, potty training, sibling dynamics, meal prep, light housekeeping for kids, driving to activities, and making transitions feel safe.
