Daniella K.
I bring many years of experience supporting children and families in both educational and social service settings. I worked in a Montessori school early in my career, where I developed a deep respect for child-led learning and nurturing independence. I later worked as a family social worker, supporting parents in strengthening their parenting skills with the goal of family reunification. In that role, I helped children regulate their emotions, express themselves in healthy ways, and monitored developmental milestones to ensure they were thriving. I have extensive nanny experience and am comfortable working with children of all ages, including those who may be experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges. I believe every child is an individual, and I love helping children understand themselves, recognize their needs, and learn how to meet them in healthy ways. Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors; birding, hiking, walking dogs, and observing the changing seasons. I believe nature offers incredible opportunities for children to grow, regulate, and explore. I’m also passionate about cooking with local ingredients, visiting farmers’ markets, and teaching children and teens life skills that foster confidence and self-trust. I care deeply about helping young people learn to be their own best friend. For peace of mind, I hold a recent Vulnerable Sector Check as well as a current Intervention Record Check from Alberta Children’s Services.
I worked at a Montessori school from 1998 to 2000, where I supported early childhood development in a structured, child-centered environment. I later owned and operated a pre- and post-natal care massage clinic, working closely with mothers-to-be, infants, and young children. I have extensive nanny experience and am confident supporting children with diverse needs, including those experiencing behavioral challenges.
