Sara J.
I'm Sara! I'm a university student studying Wildlife Conservation. I have a strong background in childcare and a genuine love for working with children. I have spent more than three years working with children aged between 1 and 15, in various roles including a mother's helper, babysitter, summer camp leader, and even as an equestrian coach. These experiences have taught me how to create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment in which children can thrive. I hold certifications in Standard First Aid and CPR-C and am well-prepared to handle any situation with calmness and care. I am responsible, patient, and deeply committed to supporting both children and parents in their daily routines. In my spare time, I enjoy arts and crafts, outdoor activities, camping, hiking, and cooking. My previous roles have equipped me with skills in creative planning, organization, cleaning, and multitasking. Whether you need occasional assistance or someone to confidently step in during busy times, I would be thrilled to bring my experience and enthusiasm to your family! I would also like to mention that I do not currently have a car and will rely on public transport for my commute.
From January-April 2024 I worked as a mother's helper for a family with two 1-year-old twin girls. I helped with cleaning, laundry, mealtimes, daycare drop off, general entertainment, and some occasional cooking. For 3 consecutive summers I worked at an overnight summer camp, providing care and activity programming to children of many ages (4-15). Activities included: crafts, environmental education, field sports (soccer, tennis, etc...), swimming and outdoor skills. I also worked as an equestrian coach, mentoring 2 young students in their horseback riding skills and helping them grow their confidence. I have a very patient, positive, and energetic outlook to working with children and love being outdoors.
